What is this about?
Basically this is a guide on how you can use Auctioneer and Bottomscanner to snipe items from the Neutral Auction houses (Such as in Booty Bay, Gadget and Winterspring).
The reason why it is extra good now is because of Blizzard’s new feature: Faction Change. Meaning a lot more people now have both horde and alliance level 80s / high levels and therefore will be trading items and gold across more frequently.

Here is a scenario example:
Joe has two accounts and wants to send items from his Alliance account (account A) to his Horde account (account B).

He brings a char on each account to the Booty Bay Auction House.
He puts up 5X Crusader Orbs which are worth about 2,000g-4,000g each with his Account A. However he puts them up for 1 silver each.
He then plans to buy them with Account B, that way he does not need to worry about Neutral Auction House fees, or whether his Account B has that kind of gold to spend.

This is where we come in, Bottom Scanner and auctioneer scans the auction house constantly and as soon as it sees those orbs go up for 1 silver each, it realizes that they are actually worth 2,000g – 4,000g and then puts up a window asking if we would like to buy them. Click yes and voila, you just made over 10k gold and only payed 5 silver!

What you will need:
Any alt (any level – but generally level20-30 works great because you blend in). And give them anywhere between 5 and 100 gold (depending how long you will be botting and how lucky you are hoping to be )
On PvP serves this tends to be tricky because they can just kill you to stop you from doing it. Both PvP and PvE servers it is beneficial to try and hide your self somehow.

Latest Auctioneer package, and Bottom Scanner.

However in the Latest Auctioneer Package, they no longer use Bottom Scanner and instead use something called SearhUI.

1) First download the latest Auctioneer Suit here:

3) Now when you install Bottom Scanner it has two dependencies: Stubby and EnhTooltip. Usually those both come in the Auctioneer package, however only Stubby does now because EnhTooltip is no longer needed – seeing as they don’t Bottom Scanner. So you need to download the previous version of Auctioneer and then cut the “EnhTooltip” file from there, and past it in your addon folder with the latest Auctioneer Suit and Bottom Scanner addon which I posted above. Setting up:
Once you have all your addons loaded ingame you will then need to configure your Bottom Scanner settings by typing /btm config
I would recommend that you follow Aima’s settings that he posted because they seem to work best:

(my SS doesn’t show it but I do have custom enchanting level option enabled) Prospecting Tab I use 5g profit on this tab because I dont want Iron and Below. The Resale Tab This is the tab that generally gets me the armor and weapons. So I keep it at uncommon. I don’t want someone loading a ton of greys on the AH so that I lose my buying power (I bought 27g worth of Tough Jerky for resale, so I set the profit to 1g minimum.) The Snatch Tab Since you must use the the chat interface to configure the snatch tab I will not go into it here. However if any of you feel adventurous … This tab can be pretty powerful. I suggest taking a look at its options. Vendor Set this tab to 50s and if you can’t resale the item, then vendor it. you will always get a 50s profit at least. a free 50s might not bee 600g, but its 50s more than you just had. The Ignore Item Price Tab Disable it for swooping. find what works best for you if your using it for the Faction Auction House. The Ignore Item Quality Tab Check mark the qualities that you DON’T want. But also check them for what evaluator you want those filters to apply to. The Ignore Item Type Tab This tab is the heart of the filter within filters concept in Bottom scanner. This is where you can set all the evaluators to have even more specific filters. item level filters added to the existing evaluator filters. I keep it disabled because although I don’t want strange dust and low level easily acquired mats and items. There are also low level hard to find items like recipes and the like. The Ignore Time Left Tab Disable it. and everything on this tab. It doesnt even deserve a SS when talking about swooping.

TIP: In your general tab change your scan settings reload interval to 3 or 4 seconds. It makes it scan much quicker and increases your chance to see items before they get bought out again.

Current problems:
1) Because Bottom Scanner isn’t fully supported by Auctioneer anymore, the BtmScan tab at your Auction House window doesn’t work anymore. However just type “/btm begin” to start scanning and “/btm end” to stop scanning.

2) People on PVP servers complain that they get killed often (Which is just one of those things, not every guide works for everyone – e.g. JC and Enchanting money making guide but you have LW and Skinning.
So here is some sort of fix (although I don’t support actual exploiting etc, its a big part of this site ).

Here is the code for specific ones:
If you are scanning from Booty Bay you must make it look like this:

If you are scanning from Tanaris (gadget) you must make it look like this:

if ((map == "Winterspring") or (map == "Stranglethorn")) then
			factionGroup = "Neutral"
		end

If you are scanning from Winterspring you must make it look like this:

if ((map == "Tanaris") or (map == "Stranglethorn")) then
			factionGroup = "Neutral"
		end

That way what you do now is go to your Faction Auction House and scan, it will then load the Faction Auction House Database, then go to your Neutral Auction House and it will KEEP the Faction Auction House Database loaded and run off that instead.

Keep in mind YOU CANNOT DELETE ALL OF THEM otherwise the If statement won’t work. However I am busy working on a better fix which will be one of these two:
1) Change the words Winterspring, Tanaris and Stranglethorn to random locations like Silithus, Moonglade and Westfall.
2) Make it so that when you go to the Neutral Auction House, it automatically loads the Faction Auction House Database (Like make it something like “if ((map = Tanaris) or …blah blah blahthen factionGroup = “<your faction group here>”

I just need to find the correct wording.
Is this bannable?
No it is not as long as you are doing all the clicking (I.E you are not using any sort of script, macro keyboard or bot).
You are simply using an addon which has been Authorized by Blizzard.

I would not recommend using the G11/G15 keyboard macros.

Something which can help with both botting and doing it by hand is instead of having a bot that clicks where the yes/no menu comes up to buy something, is having a macro that you simply click/press and it automatically chooses “yes” each time you get the option to buy it (So you can get a bot to just spam click the macro).

FIX/CHANGE LOG:
1) Make sure to create your own database of prices by scanning the normal Main city Auction Houses a few times (preferably with a 1-5 hour interval) – it will only buy items that it recognizes from scanning the main city Auction House.

Step 1. Put any ammount of points into the talent ‘Blade Barrior’ in the blood tree (Tier 1)

Step 2. Equip your weapon in which you want to level that weapon’s weapon skill.

Step 3. Click blood boil repetetivly till your blood runes are on cooldown and it will activiate your blade barrior once they come off cooldown use it again. Keep doing this and you will start to notice your weapon skill leveling.

Requirements

• Your team must own the airport.
• Some kinda of size changing item/spell such as shapeshifting or mojo OR Hs on cd and auto-unstuck.
• Alliance faction.

1) As soon as the game starts go for the Airport. Capture the airport and board the zeppelin.

2)Wait ill the zeppelin overlooks this area.

3) Jump down and parachute into the building, and land here while holding foward to hopefully push yourself partially into the building.

4) Now push yourself into the build, tap the foward key and spacebar simutaneously while running left/right and either shapeshifting or using an item such as mojo to push yourself into the building.

5) Now jump down into the Boss room safely, and kill him right at the start of the game!. You may want to use fall reduction to reduce the fall dmg.

Safe to do?

How will anyone know who or how the boss was killed, the Horde dont even have access to the room to see who is doing it and report you.This also allows you to do this without any interference!

Recommendations

• 1 Tank and 1 Healer, preferably druids (shapeshift, reduced fall dmg).
• A few (but not too many) trustworthy DPS to speed things up. Be able to sustain or evade the fall dmg when jumping into the room.
• Works best on Isle of conquest weekend.

Theories

• May be a similar way of doing it for Horde.
• Pygmy Oil may work to push yourself through the wall.

Step 2: While its pending send your toon mail
Step 3: Wait 2-3 Hours, there should be a message on your transaction page saying ” Error, You must manualy cancel your faction change, Note you have not been charged for this, Feel free to faction change later.
Step 4: Log into your toon, There should be a message saying Your toon has been flagged for a name change, Hoorahhh.
